Job Summary :

ISP Tech Intern

Job Requirements :

AfghaNet is seeking enthusiastic and motivated interns to join our technical and customer support team. The interns will gain hands-on experience in internet service operations, customer handling, and technical troubleshooting while working in a professional ISP environment.

We are looking for:

1 Night Shift Intern – to provide customer support and technical assistance during off-peak hours, ensuring 24/7 operational continuity.

2 Day Shift Interns – to support daily operations, assist customers, and provide technical and administrative support to the AfghaNet team.

The key responsibilities and accountabilities of the ISP Technician Intern are outlined as follows:

 

·       Daily visiting the clients for maintenance

·       Visiting TV-Hill and towers for maintenance issues

·       Site installation (Able to find the open channel-frequencies according to the locations)

·       Creating local-IPs on CCR

·       Subnet live-IPs

·       Should be able to setup Point to Point and Point to Multipoint (able to install different PtP devices)

·       Provide full support to the clients

·     Analyze and isolate network issues

·       Determine network system and requirements to provide the best recommendations.

·       On-call/email support to clients

·       Once a week night shift

·       Public IP implementation

·       Able to travel to the provinces if required.

·       Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative and original ideas to technology, algorithms, and product

·       Dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results

·       Comply with personal legal liabilities and fiduciary requirements of diligence and care in carrying out the duties of AfghaNet.

·       Act honestly in all the affairs of AfghaNet and avoid conflict of interest and, should this arise, it must be declared.


Education: 12 grade graduate and Cisco Certified Network Associate ( CCNA )

 Bachelors in computer science (Network) is preferred

Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience in ISP network platform Enough knowledge of Mikrotik CCR configurations Enough knowledge of Microwave devices Enough knowledge of Cacti / MRTG graph implementation Enough knowledge of Point to point devices, Ubiquiti / Mikrotik and etc
